Mr. Mukesh Arya is a strategically oriented oversight consultant with extensive experience of governance, risk management, auditing, evaluation, investigation, ethics management, anticorruption, accountability, internal controls and capacity building.
With 40+ years of in-depth professional experience in Comptroller & Auditor General of India and other national governments, investigations in the United Nations and consultancy work in private sector, Mr. Arya steered offices with responsibilities that involved professionalism, administrative tact, diplomacy and cultural sensitivity.
He served as an independent member of Advisory Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO) and subsequently on the Advisory Committee of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for six years. He was independent Director on the Board of HUDCO, a techno financial PSU of the Government of India. He is currently the Director and treasurer of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (India chapter). He founded Red Flag OCS Ltd, an oversight consultancy company and leads it as Managing Director and CEO since Jan 2010.
His passion remains investigation and ethics management in public and private sectors. He executed several oversight related projects of the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, African Development Bank and the United Nations across many countries in Asia, Africa, Pacific and Middle Eastern countries.
Risk Management Expert
Dr. Surendra Barsode
Ph. d. (Credit Risk Management) from IIT, Mumbai; FRM (2004); and CAIIB
Mr. Barsode brings with him a 40 years of banking career in leadership positions including 22 years with State Bank of India and overseas backed up with relevant high-level qualifications.
He had launched himself subsequently to spread out to investment banks and financial institutions in UAE, Saudi Arabia, GCC/MENA region where he developed credit risk models for Probability of Default (PD) and Loss Given Default (LGD) and supervised computation of ECL as well as Stress Testing methodologies for credit, market, liquidity, reputation, operational and business risks.
He worked in leadership roles at Commercial International Bank, Cairo as Director, National Bank of Fujairah, Dubai as Head of Risk Analytics, Aptiva Consulting as Principal Risk Consultant, and Dun & Bradstreet, India as Product Architect for Basel related risk products.
He applied himself to policy and Risk framework development while on Board of Risk Committees, Credit committees, and Structured Products Approval committee at several organizations.
